For Your Information: Dunham FAQs – Update! (12/8/2020)

Please note: As of December 8, 2020, due to increasing COVID cases, Dunham Public Library has returned to Curbside Only status. Appointments may be made for faxing, copies and notarizations. For further information, please email or call us. We hope to re-open as soon as we’re able.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What if I have an item that is overdue?

Due Dates for materials are extended to 7/1/20, all holds have been suspended until 7/1/20 and the “Hold Pickup By” date has been extended to 7/1/20. Items will automatically be renewed  once past the July 1 date. You will not be penalized for late items.

Items may be returned at either book drop next to our main entrance and new western entrance. Your items will be held in quarantine for a period of three days before they are removed from your library card.

Is the library taking donations?

We are unfortunately still unable to take donations at this time. Please call us at 315-736-9734, ext. 301 for more details.


Will there be more AARP tax preparation dates at Dunham?

Dunham Public Library will have Federal and State 2020 tax forms. As of 12/8/20, we don’t have information about tax preparation dates for 2021. Once we have information, it will posted here and on our Facebook page

What library resources can I access online?
So many! Services like RB Digital and Overdrive/Libby allow you to access eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming movies, digital magazines, and newspapers are available 24/7. In addition, we offer many opportunities for eLearning, such as Transparent Language, build valuable job skills or work on your resume, get one-on-one tutoring and homework help, all from your home. What has happened to Hoopla?

Due to impending budget cuts we will be ending our subscription with Hoopla effective September 1, 2020. We’re sorry to see it go but we need to put our funding into services with higher impact such as Overdrive. Any checkouts made through August 31 will be available for the duration of the normal checkout period.
