Checking Out DVDs

How do I check out DVDs?

Dunham Public Library has an excellent collection of films and documentaries.

All titles are searchable in the online catalog by title. You can also enter an actor’s name in the author field to locate a movie. We also have a printed copy of our new DVDs for each month.

Please note: A DVD with “New” status may be borrowed but a hold cannot be placed upon it until the new status is lifted after a period of six months. This means that if a new DVD is available on the shelf, library patrons may go to the owning library in the Mid-York Library System (Rome, Utica, Oriskany, Whitesboro,  Oneida, etc…) and borrow it directly from there.

All feature films circulate for 7 days.

Non-fiction rentals circulate for 2 weeks.

There is a limit of 5 rentals per library card.

There is no charge to rent feature films and non-fiction DVDs, although there is a late fee of $2.00 per day per title. Late fees are not charged for the days the Library is closed.

Late fees will begin to be calculated for all materials which are returned either in the library itself or via the book drop AFTER Library closing hours.
